Summary: We are looking for a VMware / Nutanix Administrator or Engineer with 6 to 9 years of experience in managing enterprise virtualization environments. The candidate should possess strong expertise in VMware and Nutanix technologies, focusing on maintaining and optimizing virtual infrastructure for maximum performance. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure security and compliance while automating administrative tasks for efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware and Nutanix virtualized environments.
- Perform day-to-day management, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Manage cluster configurations, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle operations.
- Plan and execute VM migrations, storage expansions, and disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams for infrastructure integration.
- Ensure security hardening and compliance with IT policies and standards.
- Maintain detailed system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.

This role involves maintaining, optimizing, and securing the organization's virtual infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance.

Required Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of networking (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, IP, Routing) and storage protocols (NFS, iSCSI, FC).
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems in virtualized environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible or Nutanix Calm.
