What You’ll Do
- Serve as the Horizon/Omnissa technical SME and trusted advisor.
- Lead the migration of applications from Citrix to Horizon.
- Redesign and optimize the current Horizon architecture with a focus on resiliency and performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot Horizon for a wide range of enterprise applications.
- Apply deep knowledge of Horizon to solve application compatibility and performance challenges.
- Help determine the best platform for workloads across Horizon, Microsoft AVD, and physical user compute.
- Support the strategy to reduce the overall Horizon footprint by moving appropriate workloads to AVD or physical endpoints.
- Partner with infrastructure, application, and EUC teams to execute the transformation.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep, hands-on expertise with VMware/Omnissa Horizon — SME/architect level.
- Proven experience with Horizon application delivery and optimization.
- Strong experience migrating applications from Citrix to Horizon.
- Expert-level troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience designing resilient and highly available Horizon environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Strong Citrix experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to understand complex application requirements and determine the right delivery platform.
