The Role
You will be responsible for designing and leading the adoption of VKS within VMware Cloud Foundation 9, working closely with customer stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and modern Kubernetes platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading customer design workshops and technical discussions
- Designing VKS clusters and Kubernetes workload domains
- Integrating VKS with VCF 9, NSX, AVI Load Balancer, and vSAN/CNS
- Defining Kubernetes adoption strategies and technical roadmaps
- Producing architecture documentation and reference designs
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring project consultants
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a VMware Cloud Foundation Architect
- Strong hands-on experience with VCF 9 (essential)
- Extensive Kubernetes and VKS (formerly Tanzu Kubernetes Grid) experience
- Experience with NSX, AVI Load Balancer, and container networking
- Knowledge of container storage using vSAN/CNS
- Experience designing enterprise Kubernetes platforms
- Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and GitOps methodologies
Desirable
- VMware Certified Professional - VMware Cloud Foundation Architect (2V0-13.25)
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD or CKS)
- Hybrid cloud experience (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution or Google Cloud VMware Engine)
