VMware Certified SME :: Remote :: W2 Position

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VMware Certified Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to support enterprise virtualization and cloud infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting VMware environments and must possess an active VMware Advanced Professional certification.

Mandatory Certification

Candidates must hold at least one of the following active certifications and provide a copy showing the expiration date:

• VMware Certified Advanced Professional – VMware Cloud Foundation VKS (Kubernetes)
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional – VMware Cloud Foundation Automation

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and support VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
• Implement and maintain enterprise VMware infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes-based workloads or VMware Automation solutions, depending on certification and expertise.
• Troubleshoot complex VMware infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud platform issues.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and environment optimization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to deliver scalable virtualization solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and best practices for VMware technologies.
• Ensure system security, compliance, and operational stability.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Expertise in Kubernetes or VMware Automation.
• Experience with vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter administration.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting VMware environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise virtualization and hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of VMware Aria (vRealize) Suite and automation tools.
• Experience integrating VMware solutions with cloud platforms.
• Scripting experience with PowerCLI or PowerShell is a plus.
