Summary: Whitehall Resources is seeking a VMWare Aria Operations SME with active SC clearance for a 3-month contract, primarily remote with occasional visits to Warwickshire. The role involves designing and configuring monitoring and alerting systems in Aria Operations to enhance visibility across infrastructure and network components. Key Responsibilities:
- Discover and design Aria alerts, metrics, dashboards, and reports.
- Configure Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks with customised policies, alerts, and metrics.
- Integrate with a range of infrastructure and network devices using protocols like SNMP, ICMP, etc.
- Configure performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Enable network flow visibility and dependency mapping.
- Tune alerts to reduce noise and improve actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards and reporting for operation, infrastructure, network, and security teams.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Produce documentation, runbooks, and deliver knowledge transfer.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks.
- Understanding of NSX and network concepts.
- Experience in customising alerts, metrics, dashboards, and reporting for operational, security, and network teams.

VMWare Aria Operations SME – SC Cleared
Experienced VMware Aria Monitoring SME responsible for discovering, designing and configuring monitoring and alerting in Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks. This is to deliver visibility across infrastructure and network components.
Responsibilities
* Discover and design Aria alerts, metrics, dashboards and reports.
* Configure Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks with customised policies, alerts and metrics.
* Integrate with a range of infrastructure (hardware, VMs, storage) and network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) using protocols like SNMP, ICMP etc.
* Configure performance monitoring and capacity planning
* Enable network flow visibility, dependency mapping.
* Tune alerts to reduce noise and improve actionable insights
* Develop dashboards and reporting for operation, infrastructure, network, and security teams
* Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis.
