Summary: The Varicent Architect role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Varicent solutions and a strong background in consulting with executives. The position involves collaborating with clients and development teams to design and implement scalable software architectures. The architect will also be responsible for evaluating technologies and providing technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle. This role is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and develop end-to-end architecture for complex software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project requirements.
- Create architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to communicate the solution design to stakeholders.
- Assist development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years Varicent experience including Version 10 / SAAS
- 3+ years' experience delivering in an Agile manner utilizing JIRA, Confluence or similar tools
- Solution architect type; ability to frame and design the why and how to of solutions
- Significant experience in consulting with mid- to senior level executives
- Experience with Varicent Presenter, Adaptive Reports, Workflows, Webforms and Query Optimization
- Experience with Varicent ELT Data Integrator
