Video Call
Notes from the call:
Portfolios are mandatory
Background:
- A big shift is taking place around product verticals, and this is leading to a massive reengineering of their applications.
- They are reenvisioning everything from a more human centric standpoint and with that comes the need to create brand new functional designs from the ground up.
- These designers will be coming in to create brand new functional designs that they will then hand over to the engineers for them to create.
Needs to have:
- Hands on early product development experience (at either the enterprise level or smaller environment/startup)
- Direct to consumer work experience (both internal and external facing design experience is a big plus)
- Strong Visual Design experience (would flex to decent visual design experience if the early product development experience is very strong)
- Figma is a plus (the manager could care less about tools)
Noteworthy:
- Manager does not care about tenure (these people just need to have completed something from end to end)
- Would love to see people from Airbnb (spoke very highly of their products, design, and functionality)
- Manager does not care about industry experience
