We’re hiring a contract User Researcher to support a public sector consultancy client on a data-driven project within central government.
This role requires active SC Clearance and experience working with data-focused multidisciplinary teams. You’ll be responsible for planning and conducting user research across a complex service landscape, feeding into design and development of tools and services that help drive better outcomes through data.
Contract Details:
- Rate: £450/day (Outside IR35)
- Location: Remote, mainly with occasional London (UK-based only)
- Start: ASAP
- Length: Initially until end of January (with potential extension)
Key Requirements:
- Current SC Clearance (essential)
- Experience working in central government or wider public sector
- Strong understanding of GDS service standards and UCD principles
- Hands-on experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research
- Confidence working with data teams – understanding data workflows, pipelines, analytics or visualisation tools is a plus
- Able to work within Agile multidisciplinary teams (product, design, data, dev)
- Comfortable leading user research through discovery and alpha phases
