Summary: The US GAAP Product Owner at Banner Life Insurance is tasked with leading the design and implementation of financial reporting solutions that comply with US GAAP standards, particularly focusing on LDTI. Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog for US GAAP financial reporting systems aligned with LDTI requirements.
- Translate actuarial models and accounting requirements (ASC 944) into clear user stories and technical deliverables.
- Ensure accurate reporting of insurance liabilities, DAC, and premium revenue.
- Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, IT, and Compliance teams to align product roadmap.
- Validate financial outputs to meet audit and regulatory standards.
- Support LDTI transformation initiatives and ongoing enhancements.
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in US GAAP (ASC 944, LDTI ASU 2018-12, CECL)
- Experience in Life Insurance / Annuities domain
- Agile Product Owner experience (Scrum / SAFe)
