Responsibilities
- Support the sell-side tax due diligence process for the sale of a UK subsidiary.
- Prepare, structure, and populate the tax-related sections of the virtual data room.
- Coordinate the collection and preparation of tax information across relevant internal stakeholders.
- Identify and assess key tax matters, risks, and potential diligence issues relevant to the transaction.
- Manage and respond to tax-related questions and information requests from the buy-side and its advisers.
- Work closely with management and external transaction advisers to maintain momentum throughout the diligence process.
- Support additional tax-related transaction deliverables through the end of the sale process.
Requirements
- Strong UK M&A and transaction tax experience at Manager level.
- Demonstrated experience supporting sell-side tax due diligence processes.
- Strong understanding of UK corporate tax matters in a transaction context.
- Experience preparing data rooms and managing tax-related diligence requests.
- Ability to respond confidently to buyer-side tax questions and coordinate with external advisers.
- Ability to work independently and directly with corporate management teams.
- Professional fluency in English.

- Experience within food, FMCG, consumer, retail, or other trading businesses.
- Experience supporting transactions involving businesses with international subsidiaries or operations.
- Previous experience working on high-profile or complex corporate transactions.
- Independent consulting or freelance transaction experience.

- An in-house tax professional with substantial transaction tax and M&A due diligence experience.
