Summary: The UI/UX Designer role is a contract position focused on enhancing the visual identity and user experience of a client-facing platform. The designer will collaborate with engineers and product managers to create intuitive and accessible interfaces. This fully remote role offers flexibility in hours and a competitive hourly rate. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design user interfaces for web and mobile platforms, from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity mockups
  • Translate business and user requirements into clean, functional user experiences
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are accurately implemented
  • Create and maintain design systems, component libraries, and brand guidelines
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback into iterative design improvements
  • Ensure all designs meet accessibility and responsiveness standards
  • Present design concepts clearly and confidently to internal teams and stakeholders

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and interaction design best practices
  • Experience working with responsive web design and accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
  • Familiarity with basic front-end technologies (HTML/CSS) to improve collaboration with developers
  • Strong attention to detail, with a passion for delivering polished and consistent user experiences
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Nice to Have: Experience designing for early-stage startups or SaaS platforms
  • Ability to create interactive prototypes and conduct user interviews or surveys
  • Understanding of UX writing, content hierarchy, or visual storytelling
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Notion, Miro, or Jira
