The desired candidate profile includes a full stack developer skilled in the following areas (in order of priority):
- Angular and React UI Development (80% of the time spent here) (20% for the below)
- Java and OpenShift Services (Kubernetes is okay as well)
- SQL, familiarity with STAR models is a bonus

The candidate will join the "Live From New York" team, which is integral to generating reports within the Flex application. This team manages approximately 20 OpenShift services and collaborates with multiple applications at Paychex and third-party vendors. Furthermore, they develop proprietary reports using a Java JPA framework. While our team possesses robust Java and service knowledge, we have a bit of a gap around UI development. Over the next year, the candidate will be essential in building out an entirely new UI for a new application as well as helping to oversee our transition from Angular to React, while also supporting full stack responsibilities.
This team thrives on collaboration, often engaging in pair programming and fostering a lively atmosphere. We are looking for an individual whose positive energy align with our team dynamics. Given the complexity of service dependencies, the ability to conduct technical support and research issues with minimal guidance is crucial.
