Summary: The UAT Tester role involves performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new change requests and production incidents, ensuring alignment with business requirements. The position requires coordination with vendors and various program areas, along with responsibilities in data analysis, system design, and program support. The analyst will act as a liaison between business teams and contractors, supporting multiple social services programs. This is a remote position with a duration of 12 months and the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new change requests and production incidents.
- Handle test design, execution of test cases, and validation of results.
- Conduct ad hoc data script validations and notice reviews in live environments.
- Ensure quality of changes and alignment with business requirements.
- Coordinate with Tier-II teams on live cases and suggest corrections for timely benefit issuance.
- Generate reports from backend IES systems involving large data sets.
- Perform KPI validations and automate standard data queries.
- Validate data script results and ensure data accuracy following policy guidelines.
- Identify and develop verifiable data query scripts for issues based on policy or business requirements.
- Support hotline and field operations teams with required data.
- Coordinate system design sessions and gather, detail, and document application or project requirements.
- Define business workers, entities, responsibilities, operations, attributes, process flows, and relationships.
- Produce functional and process requirements documentation.
- Support implementation of case management solutions using established workflows.
- Conduct and document gap analysis and identify evidence needed to support requirements.
- Work with program leads and designees (SNAP, RIW, CCAP, CCRU, LTSS, etc.) to document requirements and support ongoing needs.
- Provide system analysis and data support to program admin teams.
- Prepare documentation and deliver demonstrations to federal agencies when required.
- Monitor and track incident tickets ensuring resolution according to business perspective.
- Work with vendors and other agencies to support system integrations and file/data validations.
- Provide weekly and as-requested project updates and reports to leadership.
- Escalate issues and decisions when appropriate.
- Prepare documentation for application change demonstrations to leadership teams.
- Translate and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in UAT, system design, and gathering/documenting business requirements.
- Minimum 6 years translating complex technical concepts for non-technical users.
- At least 5 years working with social service programs (SNAP, TANF, CCAP, SSP, Child Support, LTSS, Medicaid, or similar).
- Experience with Integrated Eligibility Systems with minimal guidance.
- Experience with use-case models, process flow models, UML, RUP, and business process analysis techniques including gap analysis.
- Strong SQL skills with ability to generate backend reports, validate queries, and automate common queries.
- Ability to generate ad hoc reports using visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
- Ability to identify, develop, and implement test plans, job aids, and support materials for new business processes.
- Ability to understand policy documents and verify data compliance with policy.
