About the Role:
We are seeking a Mid-Level TypeScript Backend Engineer to develop and maintain scalable server-side infrastructure in a cloud-first environment.
Utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), you will build highly performant APIs, manage event-driven data workflows, and collaborate with frontend teams to power robust web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient, maintainable, and typed backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Architect and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs for seamless frontend and third-party integration.
- Deploy and manage scalable microservices and serverless architectures using Google Cloud Platform (such as Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions).
- Connect applications to external data sources and manage database interactions utilizing Cloud SQL, Firestore, or similar Google Cloud Platform data storage solutions.
- Write comprehensive automated tests and document code logic to ensure long-term stability and system observability.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on the Node.js ecosystem.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, including advanced typing patterns and OOP concepts.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with backend frameworks like Express, NestJS, or Fastify.
- Proficiency with Git, code reviews, containerization (Docker), and agile workflows.
- Bonus: Previous experience building integrations with, or developing customizations for, NetSuite or other enterprise ERP platforms
