Travel Clinical Research Nurse (Contract)

Summary: The Travel Clinical Research Nurse at Lightship is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients involved in clinical studies, primarily in their homes and various facilities. This role requires significant travel (approximately 90%) around the Fort Meade, Maryland area and involves working independently under the oversight of study investigators. The position is a 12-month contract opportunity focused on operational excellence in clinical research. Candidates must possess strong nursing skills and a commitment to patient care and compliance with study protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting investigators and personnel in the implementation and conduct of research studies.
• Providing nursing care to study patients, including home visits and clinic settings.
• Ensuring compliance with study protocols and operational guidelines.
• Performing clinical procedures and assessments, including vital signs and biospecimen collection.
• Administering investigational medications and educating patients on study procedures.
• Documenting study data and coordinating study activities with patients and personnel.
• Managing study supplies and assisting with study start-up and close-out activities.
• Participating in training, audits, and site visits as required.
• Completing other study-related activities as assigned.

• Strong venipuncture and intravenous line management skills.
