Summary: The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and government importing regulations while supporting operational processes related to importing requirements and company policies. The role involves managing import information, supporting corrective actions, and maintaining strong attention to detail in a high-volume environment. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates local to Marlborough, Massachusetts, and may require occasional on-site attendance for training or meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and complete import information for US Customs entry clearance.
- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives with vendors and internal partners.
- Manage incoming correspondence, tracking tools, reports, workflows, and audits.
- Review vendor documentation for customs classification accuracy.
- Assist in compliance audits and validations, including AD/CVD and HTS Code validation.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.
- Generate reports for internal and third-party providers.
- Correspond with stakeholders and service providers to resolve issues.
- Contact new vendors for onboarding.
- Support the billing process and monitor third-party service provider performance.
- Audit reports for accuracy and assist with special projects as needed.

The Trade Compliance Specialist ensures compliance with U.S. Customs and other government importing regulations. They will assist in communicating and supporting operational processes related to importing requirements and TJX policies and procedures.
- The role ensures accurate and complete import information is provided to enable compliant and timely filings for US Customs entry clearance. The Specialist supports corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives with direct vendors and key internal partners.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong critical?thinking and problem?solving skills, with the ability to independently research, analyze, and troubleshoot customs and trade compliance matters. The role requires managing multiple priorities in a high?volume environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- This position supports daily operations by managing incoming correspondence, maintaining and updating tracking tools and systems, generating reports, monitoring workflows, and assisting with audits and compliance initiatives.
- This role is remote; however, candidates local to the Marlborough Massachusetts office are preferred. Occasional on?site attendance may be required for training, meetings, or periodic business needs.
Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Background in Customs Compliance and Importing.
