Summary: The Trade Compliance Classification Analyst role involves ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations and classifying products within the semiconductor industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and improving internal processes on classifying products (both hardware and software).
  • Assigning export control classification numbers (ECCNs) to software, technology, integrated circuits, electronic assemblies, and computer systems primarily described in Categories 3, 4, and 5 (Parts 1 and 2).
  • Assigning tariff classifications (HTS and schedule B) to items primarily described in Chapter 84, 85, and 90.
  • Support global shipping transactions and dispositions.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to improve work efficiency related to classifications.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience in export classification in the high-tech industry.
  • Expertise in product classification (HS-Code / ECCN).
  • Understanding of U.S. EAR and other export control regulation jurisdictions.

Summary: Responsibilities will require knowledge of U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Wassenaar Arrangement Dual-Use List, and harmonized tariff schedules.
