The Opportunity
Hays Technology are recruiting for a Tools Integration Engineer to join a major Operational Resilience programme, supporting the integration of critical operational platforms, data sources, APIs, dashboards and automation workflows.
This role will play a key part in enabling resilience reporting, evidence gathering and remediation activities across a complex enterprise environment. Working within an established Operational Resilience framework, you will help design and deliver secure, scalable integrations that support business-critical services and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain integrations between operational platforms, data sources and business applications.
- Build and support APIs, automation workflows and data pipelines.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to support resilience monitoring and governance.
- Ensure integrations are secure, supportable and auditable, including authentication, logging and secrets management.
- Collaborate with architects, platform owners, security teams and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Support data quality, reconciliation and ownership processes across integrated systems.
- Produce technical documentation and integration designs.
- Contribute to resilience programmes by enabling evidence collection, reporting and remediation workflows.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong background in systems integration, API development, automation engineering or data engineering.
- Experience working with integration requirements, APIs, data feeds, Scripting and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of operational support, data quality, auditability and resilience considerations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical integration solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within structured delivery environments including governance, RAID management and quality assurance.
Desirable Skills
- Operational Resilience experience.
- Understanding of Important Business Services (IBS) and Impact Tolerances.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace or similar enterprise tooling.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, observability tools, security tooling or automation platforms.
- Experience working within regulated environments.
- Knowledge of service mapping, resilience risk or resilience testing frameworks.
