Seeking a highly experienced TMS Release Manager to lead and execute the release lifecycle for a fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment. This role is responsible for coordinating frequent system changes—including configurations, enhancements, and defect fixes—while ensuring operational stability across distribution centers.
Configuration & Deployment Management
- Validate production readiness using documented go-live criteria
Operational Risk & Incident Management
- Identify risks specific to 3PL environments (e.g., multi-client configs, peak volume impacts)
- Coordinate mitigation strategies and contingency planning
- Lead HyperCare support post-release and manage incident triage
- Execute rollback strategies when needed with minimal operational disruption
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Improve repeatability of deployments across sites and clients
- Identify opportunities for:
- Automation in release and testing processes
- Better alignment between product/config teams and operations
- Drive lessons learned from retrospectives into process improvements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Release Management, Deployment Management, or IT Delivery
- Proven experience managing frequent, iterative releases in production environments
- Strong understanding of:
- TMS configuration management and promotion processes
- Multi-environment lifecycle (tenant-based environments)
- Integration dependencies (ERP, TMS, automation/MHE, parcel systems)
- Experience supporting live warehouse operations, preferably in a 3PL setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in 3PL / contract logistics environments (multi-client, multi-site operations)
- Exposure to automation systems (conveyors, sorters, AMRs, etc.) integrated with TMS
- Familiarity with:
- API-driven integrations
- Experience working in Agile or product-driven delivery models
- ITIL or structured change/release governance background
