Summary: The Test Manager for the Niche RMS project will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy while collaborating with various stakeholders. This role requires NPPV3 clearance and focuses on ensuring high standards in testing across multiple phases. The position is fully remote and offers a contract duration of 12 months. The successful candidate will manage defects and provide structured reporting to support go-live decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive Test Strategy for the NicheRMS Programme.
- Plan, lead and oversee all testing phases including system testing, SIT, integration, regression, non-functional, concurrent, performance, security/pen-testing, data validation, disaster recovery testing, and UAT/OAT.
- Align testing to organisational standards, operational priorities, compliance requirements, and national policing frameworks.
- Establish end-to-end traceability from requirements to test scenarios and acceptance criteria, ensuring full validation.
- Manage defects, risks, and quality assurance processes throughout test execution, with clear escalation.
- Provide structured reporting and assurance to the Programme Manager and Programme Director to support go-live decisions.
- Create reusable test artefact templates and deliver knowledge transfer to BAU teams.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing test strategy and execution for large, complex technical programmes.
- Proven ability to plan and lead multiple test phases in complex multi-supplier environments.
- Proven experience with testing tools such as JIRA, Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, LoadRunner.
- Proven understanding of Software Delivery life cycle (SDLC), pen-testing methodologies, security testing, and audit requirements.
- Proven experience producing high-quality test plans, scripts, data sets, and test reports.
- Proven knowledge of ISO testing standards (eg, ISO/IEC 29119) and best-practice quality frameworks.
- Proven experience working within policing, criminal justice, or secure public-sector environments.
- Minimum ISTQB Foundation Level; ISTQB Advanced Test Manager desirable.

We're currently looking for an NPPV3 cleared Test Manager to work closely with our clients Programme Manager, Configuration Analyst, Business Analysts, operational SMEs, on a Niche RMS project. Ensuring that testing strategy, test plans, test artefacts, and test execution are delivered to a high standard.
