Test Lead

Summary: Xpertise is seeking a hands-on Test Lead to manage a small team focused on an insurance product, specifically in the general insurance sector. The role requires expertise in complex functional testing and effective communication skills. This position is fully remote and offers an initial contract of six months, with the potential for extension. The role is classified as outside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in general insurance, ideally home insurance.
• Oversee testing on an insurance product, excluding claims management systems.
• Conduct complex functional testing beyond just UAT/BAT.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Be available at short notice for project needs.

Key Skills:

• General insurance experience, preferably in home insurance.
• Experience with insurance products, not limited to claims management systems.

• Experience working on an insurance product (not a claims mgmt system for example)
• Complex functional testing experience, not just UAT/BAT.
• Good communication skills.
• Available at short notice.
