Summary: We are looking for a Test Engineer/QA Engineer to join a delivery-focused team on a 6-month remote contract with occasional site visits. The role involves ensuring the quality and performance of digital services in a secure environment through the design and execution of test strategies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions while continuously improving testing processes. BPSS clearance is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test strategies and test plans
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing
  • Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
  • Support test automation frameworks and improve test coverage
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and security standards
  • Continuously improve testing processes and best practices

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or Software Tester
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with test automation tools (eg, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar)
  • Experience testing APIs and microservices (eg, Postman, REST Assured)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (eg, Jira)
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
