Summary: The role of Test Consultant involves supporting the update of a banking application by executing functional and integration testing on approximately 80 planned changes. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in testing banking platforms and be adept at managing partially completed test work. This position is remote and is classified as outside IR35 for a 3-month contract duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work through a defined backlog of ~80 system changes, executing end-to-end functional and integration testing.
- Review, tidy, and complete partially finished test cycles to ensure full coverage.
- Validate integrations between banking platforms and connected systems.
- Analyse and verify statement formats (MT940, CAMT.053) and payment flows.
- Support quality assurance across digital banking, treasury, and payment orchestration solutions.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience testing banking applications (e.g., Bank Clarity, Bottomline, or similar).
- Strong understanding of digital banking, treasury systems, and payment orchestration.
- Knowledge of SWIFT, MT940, and CAMT.053 formats.
- Experience with straight-through processing for individual and bulk payments.
- Solid integration testing capability across financial platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience testing banking platforms, strong familiarity with sector terminology, and the ability to quickly make sense of in-progress or partially completed test work.
