Summary: The Test Automation Engineer will lead the automation testing strategy for various innovative products, including a bespoke case management system and client integrations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in a Scrum Agile environment, promoting test-driven development, and ensuring the implementation of modern testing solutions. The position requires a flexible approach, with expectations for out-of-hours work to meet project deadlines. The successful candidate will utilize technologies such as Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, and GitHub to drive automation excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage testing efforts across cross-functional product teams.
- Define and implement scalable testing strategies, standards, and best practices across the SDLC.
- Evaluate and onboard new tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Own and evolve the Test automation framework using tools such as Cypress Cloud and Selenium WebDriver for E2E testing.
- Manage and optimize cross-browser testing using BrowserStack.
- Ensure CI/CD integration using GitHub and DevOps pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Partner with Senior Developers, Product Owners, Architects, and DevOps to embed quality practices early in the development process.
- Research and recommend emerging testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Guide Product team members in Automation best practices and technology use.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Test automation and QA leadership roles.
- Expertise with Cypress Cloud, Selenium WebDriver for automation testing.
- Experience with BDD tools such as Cucumber and Reqnroll.
- Knowledge of GitHub and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Monorepo structure and test orchestration at scale.
- Desirable: Jest for unit & component testing.
- Desirable: K6, JMeter for performance/load testing.
- Desirable: CodeCov for code coverage tooling.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Exposure to modern frontend/backend stacks and microservices.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Test Automation Manager to lead the charge in shaping and delivering our automation testing strategy across a range of innovative products. This includes our bespoke case management system, in-house applications, and client integrations. You'll be at the forefront of exciting new streams of work, leveraging the latest technologies to ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and of the highest quality.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in a Scrum Agile environment, championing test-driven development (TDD) and embedding a culture of quality-first engineering. Your role will be pivotal in driving automation excellence, mentoring teams, and ensuring our testing solutions are modern, efficient, and continuously evolving.
The Test Automation Manager will oversee the use of but not limited to the following technologies within the teams:
Cypress, Selenium WebDriver
Jest
K6
GitHub
A flexible approach is required and out of hours working is expected to support business as usual activities or project deadlines.

What will your day look like:
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and manage testing efforts across cross-functional product teams.
Define and implement scalable testing strategies, standards, and best practices across the SDLC.
Evaluate and onboard new tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Automation & Tools
Own and evolve the Test automation framework using tools such as Cypress Cloud & Selenium WebDriver for E2E testing , Jest for unit and component testing , K6 for performance/load testing , BDD approach using Cucumber and Reqnroll.
Manage and optimize cross-browser testing using BrowserStack.
Work within a Monorepo architecture to streamline test management across projects.

Innovation, Collaboration & Delivery
