Summary: The Test Automation Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, primarily using Cypress or Ruby. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress or Ruby.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend services.
  • Perform API testing with RESTful services and validate data using SQL queries.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and business analysts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Conduct performance testing using JMeter and identify system bottlenecks.
  • Apply JavaScript, HTML, and CSS knowledge to validate and enhance front-end testing.
  • Integrate test automation with Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Document, report, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and test reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies and tools.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience with a focus on test automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cypress OR Ruby.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Experience with RESTful services & API platform testing.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS for front-end validation.
  • Version control experience with Git.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Concourse, Jenkins, Harness) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with test reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Exposure to Linux environments for log analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban).
