Summary: The role of Terraform Subject Matter Expert (SME) focuses on automating and managing Genesys Cloud Contact Center infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. Candidates must possess extensive hands-on experience and expert-level proficiency in the relevant technologies. This critical position requires a deep understanding of both Terraform and Genesys Cloud architecture. Individuals with limited experience will not be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Terraform IaC for Genesys Cloud resources.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Configure and manage Genesys Cloud components: users, queues, flows, integrations, telephony, etc.
- Implement secure API authentication (OAuth) and manage secrets using Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault.
- Maintain version control and change management across environments (dev/test/prod).
- Ensure compliance with standards like HIPAA, FedRAMP, PCI, and maintain audit traceability.
Key Skills:
- Expert in Terraform fundamentals: modules, variables, outputs, remote backends.
- Experience with Terraform CLI workflows and state management.
- Proficient in using
terraform import
for existing Genesys resources. - Deep understanding of Genesys Cloud architecture (regions, tenants, organizations).
- Experience configuring telephony (trunks, sites, edge devices), routing, flows, and integrations.
- Familiarity with Genesys security roles and permissions.
- Strong Git fundamentals (branching, merging, PRs).
- Experience integrating Terraform with GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps.
- Building automated pipelines with approval workflows.
