Summary: Our client, a major healthcare insurance company, is seeking a Technical Writer with expertise in writing SOP-related documents. The role involves designing, writing, editing, and rewriting procedure manuals and SOPs for claims processing systems. Preference is given to candidates residing in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington DC, although remote candidates in EST/CST are also considered. The position is outside IR35 and does not transition to permanent employment.

Our client, a major healthcare insurance company is seeking a Technical Writer with specific knowledge/experience writing SOP related documents. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, writing, editing and re-writing of procedure manuals, and SOPs to explain how their systems process claims.

Although this position is remote, candidates who reside in Virginia, Maryland or Washington DC are preferred, but open to remote candidates EST/CST. If DMV, may need to come to the the DC office 1x per quarter for a meeting.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
Experience: 5 years experience as a technical writer
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Must have experience writing SOP and manual related documents
Must have experience with MS Word and SharePoint
Basic Excel
Able to provide writing samples
Insurance background is preferred
