Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Technical Writer to support documentation across the IT & Digital organization. This role partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, application delivery teams, integration teams, data teams, and business stakeholders to produce accurate, clear, and consistent technical documentation for clients s core healthcare payer systems.
The Technical Writer will document enterprise platforms such as Facets (Core Administrative Processing System), TruCare (Care Management), Salesforcebased solutions, and supporting integration and data platforms. Responsibilities include documenting system functionality, technical configurations, integrations, APIs, and data flows that enable client business processes.
This role also serves as a contributor to knowledge management, managed documentation governance, and content lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness. The Technical Writer works within Agile delivery teams and helps ensure institutional knowledge is accurate, accessible, and well maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create and Maintain Technical Documentation
- Develop, write, edit, publish, and maintain highquality technical documentation including:
- System architecture and technical overviews
- Configuration and operational documentation
- Integration and interface specifications
- Data flow diagrams and narratives
- Standard operating procedures, process documentation, job aids, and FAQs
- Translate complex IT and healthcare payer concepts into documentation that is easily understood by technical and nontechnical audiences.
Document Core Healthcare Payer Systems
- Create and maintain documentation for clients core systems, including:
- Facets (claims processing, enrollment, provider, benefits)
- TruCare (care management workflows and integrations)
- Salesforce and other enterprise platforms
- Document integrations between systems, including inbound and outbound interfaces, APIs, batch processes, and data movement.
- Develop and maintain system context diagrams, integration diagrams, and endtoend data flows that align with Enterprise Architecture standards.
Collaborate with IT and Business Stakeholders
- Work closely with architects, developers, integration engineers, product owners, and business SMEs to gather and validate technical information.
- Conduct interviews and working sessions to capture currentstate and futurestate system behavior.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies as needed to stay aligned with solution changes and delivery timelines.
Knowledge Management and Governance
- Serve as a contributor to clients Knowledge Base and Managed Documentation processes, including versioning, approvals, and publishing.
- Ensure documentation aligns with the client standards for terminology, formatting, branding, accessibility, and document control.
- Review and edit documentation produced by others to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and completeness.
- Facilitate document reviews, resolve feedback, and publish finalized content.
Continuous Improvement
- Support continuous improvement of documentation templates, standards, and tooling used across IT & Digital.
- Promote documentation best practices and knowledge reuse across delivery teams.
- Manage multiple documentation efforts concurrently while meeting project and operational deadlines.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably supporting IT organizations in healthcare, health insurance, or regulated industries.
- Proven experience producing clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation.
- Handson experience documenting:
- Enterprise application platforms
- System integrations and interfaces
- Application and data flows
- Familiarity with healthcare payer technologies and platforms such as Facets, TruCare, Salesforce, or similar systems.
- Experience using documentation and collaboration tools such as:
- Confluence or enterprise knowledge base tools
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Diagramming tools such as Lucidchart or Microsoft Visio
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare payer organization, especially within IT & Digital teams.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data sensitivity requirements.
- Experience supporting documentation in Agile / Scrum
- Exposure to Enterprise Architecture concepts, system diagrams, and integration patterns.
