Technical Project Managers

Technical Project Managers (TPMs) own the delivery execution of Advanced Services engagements. They coordinate between the Platform Architect, delivery engineers, the customers. TPMs must have enough technical depth in VMware and cloud-native technologies to manage scope, risks, and dependencies without relying solely on engineers for technical context.

Required certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own the end-to-end delivery plan: milestones, resource allocation, risk register, and status reporting
  2. Coordinate between the Platform Architect, delivery engineers, customer stakeholders, and Broadcom project teams
  3. Manage engagement scope, change requests, and escalations
  4. Facilitate regular cadence calls: kick-offs, weekly status reviews, steering committee updates, and retrospectives
  5. Track and report on POV progress, migration milestones, and go-live readiness
  6. Ensure documentation deliverables (migration runbooks, architecture documents, handover packs) are completed on schedule
  7. Manage multiple concurrent engagements across different accounts and regions

Required Skills:

  1. Technical project management for infrastructure and platform migration projects (5+ years)
  2. Working knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation, Kubernetes, and database technologies sufficient to understand scope, risks, and technical dependencies
  3. Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies; ability to adapt approach based on engagement type (POV vs. full migration)
  4. Stakeholder management across customer IT teams, and partner delivery teams
  5. Risk and issue management with proactive escalation and mitigation planning
  6. Financial tracking: budget management, resource utilization, and SOW tracking
  7. Experience with FSI customers and regulated environments (understanding of change management constraints)
  8. Proficiency with project tooling: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, MS Project, or equivalent

Required Certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner (minimum). ITIL Foundation preferred. VMware certifications (VCP-DCV or higher) are a strong plus but not mandatory if technical depth is demonstrated through project experience.
