Summary: The Technical Programme Lead will oversee the delivery of key technology workstreams within a large-scale digital transformation programme in the UK transport sector. This role requires a combination of technical leadership, programme delivery, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful outcomes in a complex, multi-vendor environment. The position involves engaging with various stakeholders and vendors to align systems and delivery plans with architectural principles and programme objectives. The contract is remote with occasional office presence in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of technical workstreams from early planning through to implementation.
- Support requirements definition, technical planning, and delivery readiness.
- Oversee data transition and integration planning across platforms.
- Provide technical input into supplier selection and procurement activities.
- Ensure alignment and contribution from technical teams during evaluation processes.
- Engage with vendors to assess solutions, clarify proposals, and evaluate technical risks.
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure delivery alignment.
- Ensure delivery aligns with architectural principles and programme objectives.
- Support governance processes, approvals, and technical decision-making.
- Establish frameworks for system integration and delivery accountability.
- Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and assumptions.
- Feed into programme RAID processes and support mitigation planning.
- Lead technical workshops to resolve design challenges and validate approaches.
- Provide structured updates to governance forums and senior stakeholders.
