Summary: We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager IV to oversee the technical, analytical, and program management aspects of a carbon project portfolio. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and alignment with market trends. The ideal candidate will have expertise in carbon markets and a strong analytical background to support strategic decision-making. This position is fully remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage technical due diligence, performance tracking, and overall program execution for carbon projects.
- Support project portfolio origination and management, including documenting pipeline activities, preparing review materials, and managing post-contract milestones and risks.
- Apply expertise in carbon markets, including nature-based and technology-based removals, super pollutants, methodologies, and MRV (Measurement, Reporting & Verification) practices.
- Conduct market analysis to inform strategic decision-making and align with evolving market trends and program goals.
- Develop and maintain program tools such as budgets, portfolio models, origination pipelines, analytics dashboards, and procurement systems.
- Coordinate workloads and ensure timely follow-up on key decisions and action items with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support reporting processes that communicate program and project progress through key metrics and performance indicators.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of carbon markets, including both nature-based and technology-based project types, quality standards, methodologies, MRV, and net-zero use cases.
- Experience in one or more of the following: carbon project management, procurement or investment, technical due diligence, project evaluation, or performance management of milestone-based projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for data analysis and visualization.
- Demonstrated experience conducting market analysis, including carbon credit issuances, retirements, pricing trends, and quality ratings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity, build consensus, and drive solutions forward.
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute to complex projects.
