Summary: The Technical Product Owner (TPO) at Aspire Systems is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving production environments, acting as a liaison between product teams, engineering, support, and business stakeholders. This role involves managing production support processes, prioritizing operational issues, and driving root cause analysis to influence product roadmap decisions. The TPO will also focus on incident management, stakeholder communication, and process improvement to ensure system reliability and performance. The position requires extensive experience and strong problem-solving skills in a remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary owner of product-related production incidents.
  • Monitor system health, uptime, and performance; proactively identify and escalate risks.
  • Work closely with DevOps, QA, and Engineering teams to resolve critical issues and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain and track SLAs and SLOs for production support.
  • Triage and prioritize incoming production issues based on impact and urgency.
  • Lead and coordinate incident response, including impact analysis, communication, and resolution.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) and follow up on action items to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of technical and support-related user stories and defects.
  • Translate production support issues into clear product requirements or technical tasks.
  • Balance short-term fixes with long-term solutions by aligning production feedback with roadmap planning.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on system status, incident trends, and resolution timelines.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external teams about outages, workarounds, and progress.
  • Define and improve support workflows, runbooks, and incident response playbooks.
  • Collaborate with engineering to automate monitoring, alerting, and recovery processes.
  • Advocate for technical debt resolution and platform reliability improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Comfortable managing high-pressure situations and critical incidents.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in ITIL or site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Certification in Agile Product Ownership (CSPO, PSPO).
  • Previous experience in managing live applications or critical systems in production.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and critical incidents.

Job Description:

Technical Product Owner (TPO) to lead the oversight and continuous improvement of our production environments.
