Technical Event Project Manager

Summary: The Technical Event Project Manager role involves overseeing the design, planning, and delivery of custom exhibition booths for global pharmaceutical clients within a leading healthcare communications agency. This position requires a strong technical background in booth builds and the ability to manage various responsibilities in a fast-paced, international environment. The role is remote and focuses on ensuring high standards for all technical elements involved in event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end technical delivery of exhibition booths for European congresses
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to scope, plan, and execute projects
• Lead briefings with designers, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate build logistics
• Travel onsite to oversee builds and ensure smooth delivery
• Ensure all technical elements are delivered to high standards, including AV, rigging, Wi-Fi, electrics, and H&S compliance

Key Skills:

• 5+ years’ experience in technical event or exhibition project management, preferably within life sciences
• Strong understanding of booth construction, venue limitations, and technical specifications
• Proven ability to work with international clients and suppliers under tight deadlines
• Confident managing budgets, timelines, and creative/technical briefings
• Fluent in English; other European languages a plus
