Summary: The role of Technical Consultant (Timetabling) involves supporting a Higher Education provider in implementing a new timetabling system over an initial 5-month contract. The consultant will bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders while ensuring data accuracy and integration across various university systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of a new timetabling system.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify data inaccuracies and propose corrective solutions.
- Support data integrations between university systems (e.g., Student Records, HR, Finance, CRM, Timetabling).
- Utilize APIs, web services, and common data formats.
- Perform data validation and interrogation using SQL or equivalent tools.

We are currently partnering with a Higher Education provider that is looking for a Technical Consultant (with particular expertise around Timetabling) to join them on an initial 5-month contract to support with the implementation of a new timetabling system.
Essential skills include:
- Strong understanding of timetabling terminology, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to confidently act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated technical and functional expertise
- Proven ability to identify data inaccuracies and propose effective corrective solutions.
- Experience supporting data integrations between university systems (e.g., Student Records, HR, Finance, CRM, Timetabling).
- Understanding of APIs, web services, and common data formats.
- Proficiency in SQL or equivalent tools for data validation and interrogation.
Contract details:
- Start date: ASAP (can wait until 5th January for the perfect candidate)
- End date: April (initially)
- Day rate: £500-550 (IR35 pending but likely to be outside)
- Location: Remote
