Summary: The Technical Business Analyst role involves supporting a key project for a leading IT organization on a remote basis for a six-month contract. The position requires analyzing business requirements, leading design activities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. The candidate will also be responsible for creating technical documentation and managing user stories in JIRA. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business requirements, including process maps and data dictionaries, and develop high-level technical design documentation such as interoperability matrices and sequence diagrams.
- Lead low-level design activities, collaborating closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and developers.
- Design and document API build work (inputs, outputs, business logic, error codes, metadata) and front-end components (screens, permissions, UI elements).
- Create user stories in JIRA, liaising with Scrum Masters and development teams to ensure backlog readiness for two-week sprints.
- Support build and test teams during delivery, clarifying user stories and managing any required adjustments.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working within enterprise software engineering teams in an agile environment.
- Strong technical fluency, especially around RESTful APIs, with the ability to drive low-level design sessions.
- Skilled in planning backlog availability, providing accurate estimates, and creating clear, concise technical documentation.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage short-term priorities effectively.
- Desirable skills include experience in the pensions domain and knowledge of RESTful JSON APIs, XML APIs, ReactJS, Azure services, microservice architecture, and FUSE or PEGA.
