Summary: The role of SC Cleared Technical Architect involves supporting a high-profile public sector client through a consultancy, requiring a strong technical background and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. The position is primarily remote with occasional travel to London or Croydon. The contractor will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and providing architectural input across complex infrastructure and application environments. Active SC Clearance is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage stakeholder relationships, including engagement with third-party suppliers.
- Provide high-level input to Service Readiness reviews, including solution overviews and architecture summaries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define both Functional and Non-Functional Requirements for proposed solutions.
- Assure testing activities by validating test case content and overseeing closure reporting.
- Review and assess technical and service documentation including High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and technical notes.
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to produce or update technical documentation aligned with technical governance processes (eg, TDA).
- Assist in designing architectures for systems such as SCOM, MSSQL, containers, and virtual machines.
- Evaluate existing business processes and ensure proposed designs align with strategic principles and standards.
- Provide architectural input to wider IT and digital transformation initiatives.
- Support incident review and problem resolution within production environments.
- Collaborate on IT Health Check (ITHC) processes, including the creation of Target of Evaluation documents and support remediation efforts.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Virtualisation platforms, particularly Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) and Azure Stack HCI.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux-based operating systems.
- Knowledge of operating system and application deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with network technologies including switching, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring and management tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager and PowerShell.
- Understanding of application architecture and system integration patterns.
- Integration experience with operational technologies (eg, cameras, detection equipment).
- Familiarity with Law Enforcement technologies and file standards such as ANSI/IEEE N42.42.

Key Skills and Experience Required:The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) or highly experienced in the following areas:
Virtualisation platforms, particularly Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) and Azure Stack HCI.
