Summary: The Technical Architect role focuses on leading workplace migrations to Azure for a financial services organization. This fully remote position requires defining technology strategies and governance while collaborating with various stakeholders. The architect will assess legacy applications and design infrastructure patterns to ensure security and service quality. The role is advisory rather than hands-on, emphasizing strategic influence over technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define business change related technology strategies for workplace migration to Azure.
- Assess legacy applications and create a roadmap for new authentication approaches.
- Develop repeatable architecture patterns and produce infrastructure designs.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to align IT strategy with business needs.
- Provide advice and guidance during implementation, working with SMEs.
- Ensure technology governance across multiple areas to support company objectives.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a Technical/Infrastructure Architect role focused on Azure workplace migration.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly Azure.
- Strong knowledge of EUC technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction across all business levels.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technology and security deliverables.
- Risk identification and mitigation skills.
- Experience in designing mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Data Bricks, or Data & Analytics is beneficial.
- Essential IT security and risk experience in an architecture role.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
