Summary: The Technical Architect for Emerging Technologies will lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native solutions for next-generation Business Support Systems (BSS) in telecommunications. This role emphasizes the integration of AI and machine learning technologies to enhance customer experiences and optimize business processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in solution architecture and a strong understanding of telecommunications standards and practices. The position is remote but prefers candidates located near Bothell, Plano, or Alpharetta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and deliver scalable, cloud-native, and SaaS-based solutions that transform next-generation BSS platforms.
- Lead the integration of advanced AI and machine learning technologies to automate workflows and enhance customer experiences.
- Drive initiatives to embed AI/ML models for dynamic pricing, customer segmentation, and real-time product recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities for AI/ML optimization across customer journeys.
- Define and execute the modernization roadmap, including legacy migration and adoption of industry best practices.
- Champion domain-centric, event-driven architectures with optimized data flows.
- Establish and enforce architecture standards and governance frameworks.
- Mentor solution architects and cross-functional teams in AI/ML adoption.
Key Skills:
- Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of solution architecture experience, particularly in telecommunications.
- Proven expertise in architecting cloud-native, microservices, and SaaS solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into enterprise systems.
- Deep understanding of BSS domains and processes.
- Practical experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
- Strong grasp of omnichannel strategies and digital transformation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with TM Forum Open APIs and industry standards (preferred).
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is a plus.

What You'll Bring
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
8+ years of solution architecture experience, with a focus on large-scale BSS in telecommunications or similar industries.
Proven expertise in architecting cloud-native, microservices, and SaaS solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into enterprise systems, with applications such as dynamic pricing, customer segmentation, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and real-time recommendations.
Deep understanding of BSS domains and processes (customer management, product catalog, order management, billing, revenue management).
Practical experience with domain-driven design, event-driven architectures, and API management.
Strong grasp of omnichannel strategies, digital transformation, and customer journey optimization.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with TM Forum Open APIs, eTOM, SID, or similar industry standards (preferred).
TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is a plus.
