Technical Architect - Contract

Technical Architect (SFIA Level 6) - SC Preferred

Location: Remote (UK)

Contract: 6 months

Clearance: Active SC preferred

We're looking for an experienced Technical Architect (SFIA Level 6) to join a high-profile delivery team, helping shape and deliver complex digital solutions across large-scale programmes.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong architecture experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of designing and implementing integration solutions within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and design of complex digital services and platforms.
• Define architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across projects.
• Design and oversee system integrations between internal and external platforms.
• Collaborate with business, technical, and delivery stakeholders to ensure solutions align with strategic objectives.
• Produce high-quality architecture artefacts and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to delivery teams throughout the project life cycle.
• Support governance, assurance, and technical design authority processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect (SFIA Level 6) or equivalent.
• Strong background in designing and delivering integration architectures.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working within large, complex organisations or public sector environments.

Desirable

• Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC.
• Government or public sector project experience.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks and governance processes.
