Summary: The Team Administrator role is a 12-month fixed-term position within the Careers and Education team of a leading global professional body focused on sustainability. This entry-level opportunity is designed for individuals seeking to gain experience in events management, communications, and stakeholder engagement while supporting the growth of membership and engagement initiatives. The role involves a variety of tasks, including event delivery, content management, and administrative support for projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the delivery of events (both online and in-person), including setup, promotion, and follow-up.
  • Sourcing speakers and contributors for events, blogs, and articles.
  • Supporting university partnerships through onboarding webinars and maintaining university engagement.
  • Helping coordinate the early careers network, including drafting newsletters and engaging via social media platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Maintaining and updating website content via content management systems.
  • Promoting team initiatives through newsletters, emails, social media scheduling, and presentations (e.g. green careers talks to students).
  • Managing inbox queries and updating contacts via the CRM system.
  • Providing administrative support for ad-hoc projects such as running online career webinars, supporting annual surveys, and organizing activities for Green Careers Week.
  • Coordinating stakeholder meetings and recording notes/actions.

Key Skills:

  • Previous administrative experience or knowledge of admin processes (can be from education or voluntary roles).
  • Strong coordination and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and digital platforms.
  • Experience delivering small group presentations or public speaking (e.g., in an educational setting).
  • A methodical, solutions-oriented approach with enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
  • Desirable: Experience using CRM systems or content management platforms, basic research or survey work, previous use of databases (e.g., MS Excel or customer management tools).
