Job Description
We are looking for a Tax Expert to support our tax technology and product initiatives. This role combines deep tax domain expertise with hands-on exposure to accounting software, AI tools, and data-driven tax processes.
Functional / Tax Expertise
- Corporate & individual tax filing experience.
- Sales tax scenarios, registration & multi-location compliance tracking.
- Tax planning for SMBs (personal vs. corporate, buy vs. lease).
- Expense categorization, payroll accuracy, bookkeeping & investment accounting.
- Overall tax strategy and client advisory support.
Product / AI
- Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks and similar accounting software.
- Taxonomy and tax software testing, workflow validation.
- AI tools (e.g., Claude) to generate outputs and handle incorrect results.
- Troubleshooting and resolving tax/data issues.
- Feedback-driven product enhancements & software limitations.
- Exposure to tax analytics, data analysis and data science initiatives.
