Position: Tax Review & Filing Analyst

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $20 - $60/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and validate tax forms and supporting documentation for accurate submission.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and filing standards.
• Analyze financial records to verify completeness and identify discrepancies.
• Flag and escalate inconsistencies or compliance issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Support quality control by reviewing work and mentoring team members.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions clearly.
• Stay updated on tax regulations, filing requirements, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Active tax certification with strong experience in U.S. tax preparation and filing.
• Strong experience reviewing and quality checking tax returns and documentation.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax compliance standards.
• Experience working with financial data and tax software tools.
