Summary: The Tableau Developer/System Analyst role involves analyzing data from various sources and developing reports and dashboards using Tableau. The position requires experience in data visualization, SQL, and mentoring junior developers. It is a remote position with a focus on delivering data solutions for a data warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the public sector and familiarity with the Texas Workforce Commission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing data from a variety of source systems and different database technologies using SQL.
  • Designing, developing, and validating reports, data visualization, and dashboards using Tableau.
  • Building and publishing customized interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Reporting scheduling using Tableau server.
  • Creating action filters, parameters, and calculated sets for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.
  • Developing Tableau workbooks from multiple data sources using Data Blending.
  • Publishing reports using Tableau.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and generating data visualization requirements for a data warehouse.
  • Working on a data warehouse (both relational and dimensional) team.
  • Translating requirements into data visualization needs.
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Mentoring and training junior Tableau developers.

Minimum Requirements:
4-7 Analyzing data from a variety of source systems and different database technologies using SQL.
4-7 Designing, developing and validating reports, data visualization and dashboards using Tableau.
This must include:
Building and publishing customized interactive reports and dashboards.
Reporting scheduling using Tableau server.
