Tableau BI Developer

• Looking for a mid-level (4-7 years of experience) person with a go-getter attitude
• Preference for someone out of insurance/P&C insurance
• Tableau experience essential; legacy environment so some data still stored there

Requirements

• Knowledge of Safe or Scrum Agile to track stories and tasks associated with the goals to deliver value.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like SSIS / SSRS is preferred
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, including schema design, normalization, and denormalization.
• Exposure to data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and security/compliance standards such as SOX, SOC 2, or equivalent.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor s Degree with Information Technology/Mathematical emphasis or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• 3+ years of report development and analytical experience, with 2+ years of Tableau/SSRS/SSIS experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with Insurance knowledge is preferred.
• Deep experience developing BI dashboards, along with SSRS reporting, within a complex IT/enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in SQL for data modeling, transformation, and querying across relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
• Understanding of ETL processes and data preparation techniques.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with transformation or migrating legacy systems to modernized stacks and environments preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
