Summary: This role is for a Consultant specializing in SAP and Power BI to lead the modernization of reporting infrastructure for a client. The consultant will transition from SAP-based reports to Power BI, enhancing access to operational data and supporting a robust reporting environment. The position requires comprehensive support for SAP reports and technical guidance on infrastructure dependencies. The consultant will also review and recommend actions for over 1,200 existing SAP reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the modernization of reporting infrastructure by transitioning from SAP-based reports to Power BI.
- Provide comprehensive SAP report support and technical guidance on infrastructure dependencies.
- Recreate and improve internal reporting tools using Power BI.
- Systematically review over 1,200 SAP Crystal and Web Intelligence reports and recommend retirement or consolidation of unused reports.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- 5+ years of experience in the design, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of SAP and Power BI environments.
- 3+ years of experience in the integration of SAP and Power BI with identity management systems.
- 3+ years of experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of SAP Client reporting tools and Power BI.
- 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Server installation and configuration.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse work environment.
- Ability to work independently and with teams.
- Proficiency in writing Technical Documentation.

SAP and PowerBI Support Consultant
This is a 12 month remote assignment. The Consultant needs to be available during office hours on Pacific Time.
W2 only.
This contract is for a Consultant to lead the modernization of its reporting infrastructure by transitioning from SAP-based reports to Power BI. The contractor will reduce CLIENT's long-term reliance on SAP, enhance access to operational data, and support a robust reporting environment across both platforms.
The contractor will provide comprehensive SAP report support, technical guidance on infrastructure dependencies, and Power BI expertise to recreate and improve internal reporting tools. A major focus of this engagement will be to systematically review the inventory of over 1,200 SAP Crystal and Web Intelligence reports, identify unused or obsolete reports, and formally recommend their retirement or consolidation.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
- 5+ years of experience in the design, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of SAP and PowerBI environments.
- 3+ years of experience in the integration of SAP and PowerBI with identity management systems.
- 3+ years of experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of SAP Client reporting tools and PowerBI.
- 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Server installation and configuration.
