Summary: Myticas Consulting is seeking a Systems Administrator specializing in Linux and Storage Administration for a contract role. The position involves installing, monitoring, and maintaining Linux systems and EMC storage systems, while also providing technical support and documentation. The candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance software performance and troubleshoot technical issues. Off-hour work and support are required as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain Linux hardware and software
- Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain EMC storage system(s)
- Work with business analysts, project managers, developers, and clients to maintain and improve software performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Initiate system administration procedures, such as backup and/or recovery, analyze system performance and recommend improvements
- Provide off-hour patching of the Linux operating systems and/or applications for all environments
- Provide on and off-hour technical assistance and on-call support as required
- Provide documentation related to on and off-hour work being performed
- Provide ongoing support for various environments including Development, Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Staging, and Production
- Research and evaluate existing and emerging technologies by interacting with vendors and other technical experts

The resource must perform the following tasks:
- Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain Linux hardware and software
- Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain EMC storage system(s)
- Install, monitor, upgrade and maintain EMC storage system(s) operating system
