Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for scheduled weekend work, including server updates and disaster recovery testing.
  • Act as an escalation engineer for priority 1 or 2 issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Systems Administrator in support of our nationally recognized, Consumer and Commercial Electronic R&D client in Boise, ID.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Support, Issue Resolution and Escalation:
Manage Issue Resolution:
* Work with Customer's IT, end users and OEM vendors to resolve issues

Pre-Install, System Configuration, and Compatibility:
* Perform Integration and Compatibility Testing
* Install/Configure Server Software

Support, Issue Resolution and Escalation:
* Provide subject matter expertise on technical functionality, service and support of all system functions
* The System Administration role is focused on proactive work and system configuration
* Perform triaging of issues and determining if they reside with output device, card reader, embedded Secure Release Here software, external Secure Release Here Sentry device, network, or server(s)
* Review Ticketing System(s): Reviewing tickets submitted to determine if system issues exist
* Create and Maintain Documentation: Create documentation for Customer regarding processes and procedures and log any troubleshooting steps taken to correct common/typical problems

Scheduled Weekend Work:
* Provide support for BANA initiated and scheduled weekend work such as server updates, disaster recovery testing, etc. with the following limitations: Subject to Pharos resource availability; Minimum of 2 weeks advance notice required; Scheduled in advance and confirmed with Pharos

7x24 Escalated Support:
* Provide an escalation engineer on standby for priority 1 or priority 2 issues, acting as an escalation point for the System Administrators

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate degree holder (technical field) with 4-6 years working experience in related fields desired
* Basic knowledge of corporate organization, job, and policies
* Comprehensive business, technical, or functional knowledge
* Well versed in core technical competencies (OS, networking, core applications)
* Communicate effectively and tactfully to technical level, first- and middle-level management within an organization
* Active listening skills and ability to adjust messages to audience level
* Problem-solving skills (proactive, reactive and creative)
* Able to identify alternative actions, sets appropriate priorities and identifies creative and practical solutions
* Technical background or significant technical understanding to communicate with customers and technicians for problem determination and solution implementation
* Basic project management, communication, and analytical skills
* Able to suggest operational efficiencies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
