System Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer/Virtualization Engineer- Remote

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator with strong experience in managing both Linux and Windows environments, along with hands-on expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. This role will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Linux and Windows server environments
• Manage and maintain VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms
• Perform system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across infrastructure
• Ensure system security, backups, and disaster recovery processes
• Manage Active Directory, user access, and group policies (Windows)
• Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure improvements
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration / Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
  • Windows Server environments
  • VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
  • Hyper-V
• Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning
• Knowledge of networking basics (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
