Summary: The Supply Chain Management Specialist – Logistics Contracts Sourcing role is a remote contract position focused on logistics contract sourcing across the UK, Central, and Northern Europe. The specialist will lead the negotiation and management of logistics contracts to support strategic business growth in the freight and logistics sector. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and offers the opportunity to work with a high-growth client while collaborating with multi-functional teams. The role emphasizes building strong supplier relationships and implementing effective procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing and negotiation of logistics and freight service contracts.
  • Build a regional supplier base and maintain strong commercial relationships in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, and Scandinavia.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that improve cost-efficiency, service quality, and delivery performance.
  • Conduct market intelligence and supplier benchmarking to support data-driven sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure contract compliance, mitigate risks, and manage supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs.
  • Collaborate remotely with multi-functional teams across sales, operations, and finance.
  • Support RFP/RFQ processes and contribute to onboarding, compliance checks, and documentation.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight procurement roles.
  • Demonstrated success in logistics contract sourcing across the UK and Central/Northern Europe.
  • Strong understanding of international freight forwarding (air, sea, road) and customs regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time, priorities, and deliverables independently in a remote setting.
  • Fluency in English is required; other European languages are a plus.
  • Experience with digital freight platforms or procurement systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sustainable logistics practices or ESG-compliant sourcing.
  • Existing network of logistics vendors and brokers in the target regions.
