Summary: CMC is seeking two Supplier Quality Engineers for a remote role based in the UK, requiring occasional travel to supplier sites in the UK and mainland Europe. The position focuses on managing supplier quality and ensuring defect-free performance within the Distribution Business. Candidates must have a valid passport or visa for travel and will work on a 12-month contract inside IR35. Strong experience in quality assurance tools and exceptional communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the selection, development, management, and assurance of supplier quality.
  • Manage APQP activity with EMEA suppliers.
  • Travel to supplier sites in the UK and mainland Europe as required.
  • Ensure overall quality improvement within the supplier base.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in PPAP and APQP.
  • AIAG exposure (Automotive Industry Action Group).
  • Supplier Quality Core Tools experience.
  • Hands-on experience in applying SQE Tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • Certified IATF Auditor credentials are highly desirable.

Detailed Description From Employer:

CMC are currently looking for 2 Supplier Quality Engineers aligned to the Huddersfield site. This is a 100% remote role, candidates can be based anywhere in the UK. On average, around 30% of the time would be spend onsite at supplier sites (UK and mainland Europe). Inside IR35 - Remote Working (Travel to Client Sites) - 12 Month Contract Contractors will need a Valid passport or visa allowing them to travel freely to and from mainland Europe.

Role Summary: Assists in the selection, development, management, and assurance of defect-free performance of the Distribution Business' supplier base with the objective of overall quality improvement. Working in a category specific team, managing APQP activity with EMEA suppliers - European travel will be required to service these suppliers.
